Assyrians and Babylonians were close kingdoms and shared history. They have things in common such as culture, technology and politics.

  • Assyrians and Babylonians fought in many wars.  They learned about Babylonians politics and laws, like the code of Hammurabi, when Assyrians controlled Babylon.
  • For the closeness of this two empires,  they eventually developed similar technologies such as artificial irrigations for their crops.

The Assyrian empire and the Babylonian empire were sister kingdoms.  

Their cultures were exactly the same.  

Language, Laws, Religion... all the same.  

This culture either derived from the Sumerian and Akkadian societies, or were just created by the Assyrian-Babylonians.
