If the trapezoid below is reflected across the x-axis, what are the coordinates of B?

The coordinates of B would be C. (4, -8)

I got this because when reflecting over the x axis, the only value that changes is the y value. If you graph it out, the y value is the opposite while the x is the same.

Hope this helps!

How do you rewrite this problem in slope-intercept form
Sergio039 [100]

Solution

-6x - 3y = 9              Add 6x to both sides

-6x + 6x - 3y = 9 + 6x

-3y = 9 + 6x             Or more conventionally

-3y = 6x + 9             Divide by - 3

y = 6x/-3 + 9/-3

y = - 2x - 3

5y+2x = -7~~~~~......(i)\\\\y = -2x +5 ~~~~~~.....(ii)\\\\(i) -(ii):\\\\5y+2x -y = -7-(-2x+5)\\\\\implies 4y +2x = -7 +2x -5\\\\\implies 4y +2x -2x = -12\\\\\implies 4y = -12\\\\\implies y = - \dfrac{12}4 = -3\\\\\\\text{Substitute}~ y=-3~ \text{in equation (ii):}\\\\\\-3 = -2x +5\\\\\implies 2x = 5 +3 \\\\\implies 2x = 8\\\\\implies x = \dfrac 82 =4\\\\\text{Hence,}~ x = 4

Graph? Which is linear
tatuchka [14]

Answer:

Below

Step-by-step explanation:

1. Linear because it is of the form y = mx + b. The variable x  is of the first degree.

The coefficient of x (1/3)  ( = slope) is positive so it is increasing.

2. This is non-linear because the variable x is an exponent.

3. Because  its of the second degree (x^2) - it is non-linear.

Suppose that the relation S is defined as follows. S= {(4,9), (-9,4), (0, -9), (6, 6)} Give the domain and range of S. Write you
Shtirlitz [24]

Given:

The relation S is:

S=\{(4,9),(-9,4),(0,-9),(6,6)\}

To find:

The domain and range of S.

Solution:

If a relation is defined by the set of ordered pairs (x,y), then the domain is the set of x-values and range is the set of y-values.

Let R be a relation defined as R=\{(x,y):x\in R,y\in R\}, then Domain=\{x:x\in R\} and Range=\{y:y\in R\}.

The given relation is:

S=\{(4,9),(-9,4),(0,-9),(6,6)\}

Here, x-values are 4,-9,0,6 and the y-values are 9,4,-9,6.

So, the domain and range of the given relation S are

Domain=\{-9,0,4,6\}

Range=\{-9,4,6,9\}

Therefore, Domain=\{-9,0,4,6\} and Range=\{-9,4,6,9\}.
