This is a special right triangle called a 30-60-90 triangle. It has a special property the relates the ratio of side lengths. That ratio is 1:\sqrt{3}:2

What does this mean? If you know the shortest side of a 30-60-90 triangle, you can find the longer leg by multiplying it by \sqrt{3}, and you can find the hypotenuse by multiplying the short leg by 2.

In the picture, note that the short leg of the triangle has a length of 9. Therefore, the long leg(or n) is simply 9\sqrt{3}

The histogram represents the number of gallons of gasoline that drivers purchase weekly. Which bar represents the number of gall
padilas [110]

Answer:

option B) Bar 2

Step-by-step explanation:

The histogram represent the number of gallons of gasoline on x axis.

The number of drivers purchase weekly on y axis.

In this histogram 5 Bars are shown.

First bar represents = 5 drivers

Second bar represents = 6 drivers

Third bar represents = 1 driver

Fourth bar represents = 3 drivers

Fifth bar represents = = 4 drivers

So the second bar represents the the number of gallons most drivers purchased during the week.

Therefore, option B) Bar 2 is the correct answer.

How do you write the following linear equations in standard form ?
ANTONII [103]
Hi, Victoriasoto93p63zva!

To rewrite these equations in standard form you need to understand that standard form looks something like this Ax+By=C, now obviously there will be variations like Ax-By=C or -Ax+By=C, etc..., but for these expressions, they would look like this:
1. -8y + 0x = 37
2. 14x + 4y = -18
3. x + \frac{3}{5} y = \frac{4}{5}
4. 13x + 0y = -25

Write the trigonometric expression
Cos (arcsin (u))
As an algebraic expression in u
makvit [3.9K]
When we use arcsine, we are finding the angle while giving the trigonometric ratio.

Arcsin(u) = theta can be rewritten as:

sin(theta) = u

Sine is opposite over hypotenuse, so u/1 means that the side opposite to theta (the y value) is u, and the hypotenuse is 1.

We can use Pythagorean Theorem to find the adjacent (x value).

1^2 - u^2 = x^2

x = sqrt(1-u^2)

Back to the original question, we are trying to find cos(arcsin(u)). We just solved all the sides for our triangle using arcsin(u). Now we need to do cos(u).

Cosine is adjacent over hypotenuse.

So our answer is sqrt(1-u^2)/1

Or just sqrt(1-u^2)
