A median is the middle number of a data set.
To find it put the numbers in order.
9, 10, 10, 11, 12, 13, 13, 14, 14, 14, 16, 16
Then find the middle number
9, 10, 10, 11, 12, 13, 13, 14, 14, 14, 16, 16

The median is 13

A mode is a number that appears the most.
9, 10, 10, 11, 12, 13, 13, 14, 14, 14, 16, 16

The mode is 14

Hope this helped! If you have anymore questions or don't understand, please comment on my profile or DM me. :)

What’s the surface area of the prism in square inches? A.300 B.360 C.390 D.460 helpppppp
butalik [34]

Answer:

2) 360 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

First of all we have to verify that the base triangle is a right triangle

For this we use Pythagoras

h² = l1² + l2²

13² = 12² + 5²

169 = 144 + 25

169 = 169

Equality is fulfilled by what is a right triangle

Now we need to calculate the area of the triangle

a = (12 in * 5 in) / 2

a = 60in² / 2

a = 30in²

Now we have to calculate the 3 areas of the rectangles

a1 = 10in * 13 in

a1 = 130in²

a2 = 10 in * 12 in

a2 = 120in²

a3 = 10 in * 5 in

a3 = 50in²

Now we must add all the calculated areas and the triangle 2 times

a1 + a2 + a3 + 2a =

130in² + 120in² + 50in² + 2 * 30in²

360in²

The surface area of the prism is 360in²

*The rectangle to the left is divided into 12 shapes. One of them is a rectangle labeled with #1 and the remaining 11 shapes are
Mandarinka [93]

Given that the length of side of shaded area is 1 ft.

Making equal square of size of shaded area we have:

Horizontally number of shaded area are 12

Vertically number of shaded area are 11

So, the horizontal length of big rectangle is 12 ft.

The vertical length of big rectangle is 11 ft.

Area of big rectangle is 12*11

Area of given rectangle is 132 sq.ft.

The graphs of the equation y = 4x + 1 and y - kx = 10 are perpendicular when k = _______?
Ann [662]

Answer:

k=-\frac{1}{4}

Step-by-step explanation:

we have

Line 1

y=4x+1

Equation in slope intercept form

The slope is equal to

m_1=4

Line 2

y-kx=10

y=kx+10

Equation in slope intercept form

The slope is equal to

m_2=k

we know that

If two lines are perpendicular, then their slopes are opposite reciprocal (the product of the slopes is equal to -1)

so

m_1*m_2=-1

substitute

(4)(k)=-1

k=-\frac{1}{4}
