Alright, lets get started.

The question says there are 18 pair of eyes staring at the monkey.

Usually 1 pair of eyes are consideed for 1 person.

It means , 18 pairs of eyes means 18 animals.

Means 18 animals are staring at monkey when it grabs the apple from unicorn's mouth.

This 18 animals includes unicorn itself because when monkey was grabing the apple from unicon's mouth, unicorn must be looking at him.

So, number of animals present at that time in forest : 18 animals(including unicorn) + 1 monkey itself

Means total 19 animals

Hence the answer is, 19 animals are in the forest in this moment : Answer

Hope it will help :)

Algebraic expressions in mathematics are a combination of coefficients, numbers, variables, constants and arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

The main composition of algebraic expressions are:

• 1. phrases

algebraic forms separated by arithmetic operations

consisting of one phrase (monomial) to many phrases (polynomial)

• 2. variable

is a value that can be changed, can be in the form of letters, for example, x, y, a, b, etc.

• 3. constants

is a fixed value, can be a number

• 4. arithmetic operations

operations {\displaystyle \boxed{+},\boxed{-},\boxed{:},\boxed{x}}

Words that can be used to express arithmetic operations are:

• 1. addition,

• plus

• more than

• sum

• and

• total

• greater than

• increased by

• 2. subtraction,

• minus

• difference

• take away

• subtract

• less than

• decreased by

• less

• 3. multiplication,

• multiply

• product

• double (multiply by 2)

• twice (multiply by 2)

• triple (multiply by 3)

• quadruple (multiply by 4)

• times

• 4. division.

• quotient

• divided by

• ratio

• share

• into

• over

Sparkles the unicorn is in the forest,this counts for 1 animal

The monkey grabs the apple, this counts for 1 animal

There are 18 pairs of eyes staring at the monkey, it means there are :

18 : 2 = 9 animals

Arithmetic operations are :

Total animals = x =  The unicorn + The monkey + 9 animals(18 pairs of eyes)

\displaystyle x=1+1+9

\large{\boxed{\bold{x=11\:animals}}}

Jessica painted 3/4 of a room in 3/5 of an hour. How long will it take Jessica to paint the entire room?
Snezhnost [94]

Answer:

<u>8/10 hours or 48 minutes.</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

State the problem as a rule of 3:

3/4 room --------- 3/5 hours

1 room ------------ x

x=\frac{(1room*\frac{3}{5} hours)}{\frac{3}{4}room}

x= 0.8 hours.

• How much is 0.8 hours in minutes?

0.8 * 60 = 48 minutes.

Please help this is hard math
Rainbow [258]

Answer:

y=-4x+2

Step-by-step explanation:

  • First we find the slope of the line AB passing through the point (2,0)
  • line AB is perpendicular to the line y=\frac{1}{4}x-3 , this equation is slope intercept for, which is y=mx+b so our m or slope is \frac{1}{4}
  • Since the slope of line AB is perpendicular to m=\frac{1}{4} then we use the equation slope of line1\times slopeofline2=-1 , so what do we multiply \frac{1}{4} by to get -1? -4 right, so that's the slope of line AB with the point (2,0)
  • Now line CD is parallel to line AB, that means it has the same slope as AB, so slope of CD is -4
  • So we make the equation y-y_1=m(x-x_1) so m= -4 and our point is (-1,6)
  • y-(6)=-4(x-(-1)\\y-6=-4x-4\\y=-4x-4+6\\y=-4x+2 thats the equation of line side CD
