Answer:

The process of bone remodeling is highly important not just for development as a person grows up, but also for day-to-day good health.

Bone remodeling is the process by which our skeleton changes, grows, develops and is able to fulfill its several purposes: structural support, among others. When a person is born, as he/she grows, the bone structure is barely complete, and it is through bone remodeling that the structures are able to grow and change, as the body needs it to function. As such, the skeletal structure of a newborn will not be the final one; he/she will have to go through a remodeling process that will ensure the development of the skeleton that will belong to a grown up. This is one of the reasons why bone remodeling is vital throughout early development.

On a daily basis, this growing, developing and re-structuring process also affects adult life, especially when there is a loss of structure due to injury. Without the process of remodeling, if we suffered a fracture, we would always have that injury and our functions could not be fulfilled. But also, the process of remodeling is used by the body as a means to maintain the appropriate levels of calcium in the bloodstream. As such, when calcium levels are too low, bone remodeling will force the bones to release their calcium. And, when blood calcium is too high, or too much calcium comes from nutrition, the body will take that surplus and store it in bones.

This is why bone remodeling is so important both in early life and in every day life.

Answer:

Because remodeling allows already worn or damaged tissues to be replaced with new, healthy tissues.

Explanation:

Once the bone has reached its adult size and shape, the old bone tissue is constantly destroyed and new tissue is formed in its place, in a process known as remodeling.

Remodeling occurs at different speeds in various parts of the body. For example, the distal portion of the femur is replaced every 4 months; The bones of the hand are completely replaced during the whole life of the individual.

Remodeling is important daily and during early development because it allows tissues that are already worn or damaged to be replaced with new, healthy tissues. It also allows the bone to serve as a calcium reserve for the body.

In behavioral terms, drugs like aspirin are considered negative reinforcers because they?
mr Goodwill [35]

In behavioural terms, drugs like aspirin are considered negative reinforcers because they stop a person from feeling pain.

Negative reinforcement is a method that can be used to help teach specific behaviours. With negative reinforcement, something uncomfortable or otherwise unpleasant is taken away in response to a stimulus. Over time, the target behaviour should increase with the expectation that the unpleasant thing will be taken away.

For negative reinforcement to work, whatever is taken away must be taken away immediately after the behaviour in question. The end result is to get whatever behaviour is happening to continue and even increase.

Example :

A person hears a loud alarm. They push the STOP button on the alarm to make the noise stop. Now whenever the alarm goes off, they push the STOP button as quickly as they can.

  • Before behaviour: Loud alarm
  • Behaviour: Person turns alarm off
  • After behaviour: No more annoying sound
  • Future behaviour: Person pushes STOP every morning to quiet alarm
