The cerebrum is divided into parts that are called lobes. There are six major lobes, they are Frontal lobe, Parietal lobe, Occipital lobe, Temporal lobe, Limbic lobe, Insular cortex.
The occipital lobe is the lobe that processes visual information. Here the participant is told to remember a particular set of directions. This causes the participant to visually think of the directions. So, the participant is visualizing the directions. This will cause an increase in activity in the occipital lobe.
