According to B. F. Skinner, positive reinforcement will increase the frequency of a behavior and punishment will decrease the frequency of a behavior.

Positive reinforcement refers to following a desirable behavior with a positive consequence, which in turn increases the frequency of the desirable behavior being repeated. For instance, if a child is given a gold star or praise by his teacher for tidying up his desk, he will be more likely to consistently tidy up his desk in the future.

On the other hand, if a child is reprimanded (punished) for making a mess, he will be less likely to repeat the behavior in the future to avoid the punishment.

Efficiency wages may cause a _____ of labor because they _____ the equilibrium wage.
Alisiya [41]

Efficiency wages may cause a surplus of labor because they are above the equilibrium wage.

The efficiency wage is higher than the equilibrium wage, which might result in a labor supply.

Since the efficiency wage in question is higher than equilibrium wages, there will be a labor surplus since more individuals will be eager to work as a result of the wage rise. Due to the fact that supply is more than demand, this will result in a rise in supply and an excess of labor.

There is a labor surplus in the sense that a sizeable segment of the work force produces less than it consumes and its marginal product is below the wage agreed upon via negotiation.

For years, parents have wondered whether physical discipline of their children (spanking, for example) was an effective and acce
Marat540 [252]

People ( especially new parents.) instead of being consistent they only use punishment for things that originally they didn't pay attention to.

They could also use abusive words while punishing their child which is damaging and defeats the purpose of Discipline. Discipline isn't punishment. It's a word meaning To teach. Punishment just goes along with discipline if the child doesn't respond to the teaching.

DO NOT spank at the first offence the child commits. First, make sure they know what they did was wrong, second initiate a discussion on how it made you feel and what you expected of them. Forgive the first offence. Second offence, talk about how you told them last time and if they understood. Mild punishment ( time out, no TV whichever you wish.)

Third offence. Spanking. Ask them if they know what they did was wrong, find out and then deliver the punishment in a calm manner, not out of anger.

And don't say anything to them afterwards, leave them to have their cry and then come back after a bit and accept their apology and tell them you love them and that you want them to be happy and ask them if they're happy when they're good and obey you. They will see they can talk to you and that you're not unreasonable and that the punishments were not unexpected or out of anger.

99% of spankings are used because the parents are angry or because they don't know of any other solutions. I've seen good kids raised with spankings, and bad kids raised with spankings. Spankings is a Tool, the one using the tool is the one at fault for how they do it.

Explain how epicurean, stoic and neoplatonism theories are an improvement or a kind of progress, a degradation or regress, or ar
sweet [91]

The Stoics taught that because of emotion the result in every judgment and decision is errors which were destructive, due to the active relationship between cosmic determinism and human freedom, and the belief that it is virtuous to maintain a will that is in accord with nature. While Neo-platonism is a term used to distribute the period of Platonic philosophy from the start with the work of Plotinus and from the start with the closing of the Platonic Academy by the Emperor Justinian in 529 C.E. Then the Epicureanism is founded around 307 BC, a system based upon the teachings of the ancient Greek philosopher Epicurus.
