Right speech which is also referred to as Virtuous Speech or Wise Speech refers to a speech which yields peace and happiness in our lives and those around us.
The Buddha precisely defines the right speech as abstinence from harsh,malicious , and false speech.
Which means we must not speak false information that may bring conflict amongst people , we must not use sweating and hostile words and must not gossip. He believed speaking the truth is what brings us harmony and speaking kindly.
The father was the person in a Greek family who held the most power. Like any family, it is always the father who gets the most power with the most say. He is kind of like the leader or "king" of the family, since he has the most power.
