The International Space Station orbits Earth at an altitude of 240 miles. If a camera were set up on the Space Station, how far

along Earth's horizon will the camera be able to "see?" Use 4,000 miles as the average radius of the Earth and round your answer to the nearest hundredth of a mile. (Hint: Sketch and label the problem first, drawing the right angle in the correct place.)
A. 480.31 miles
B. 240.00 miles
C. 4240.00 miles
D. 1406.27 miles,

In circle pp, ad¯¯¯¯¯ad¯ is a diameter and bc¯¯¯¯¯bc¯ is perpendicular to ad¯¯¯¯¯ad¯ at ee. if pd=7pd=7 and ae=4ae=4, find cece.
kvv77 [185]
See the attached figure.

ad is a diameter of the circle with center p

∵ pd = radius = 7 ⇒⇒⇒ ∴ ad = 2 * radius = 2 * 7 = 14
∵ ae = 4 ⇒⇒⇒ ∴ ed = ad - ae = 14 - 4 = 10
∵ ad is a diameter
Δ acd is a triangle drawn in a half circle
∴ Δ acd is a right triangle at c
∵ bc ⊥ ad at point e
By applying euclid's theorem inside Δ acd
∴ ce² = ae * ed
∴ ce² = 4 * 10 = 40
∴ ce = √40 = 2√10 ≈ 6.325

Need help with math. I will give brainliest!!!!!!
Mice21 [21]

Answer:

~~

Step-by-step explanation:

Ok so first 2.4 will have to be changed to 24 which means we multiplied it by ten making it 24/10 since it is tan it is opposite side/ adjacent side so your one of your legs will be 24 and one will be 10. Now we just plug that into the Pythagorean Theorem to find the hypotenuse and we get 26. The area is 24b10/2=120 the area is 120.

Leg a= 24

Leg b= 10

Hypotenuse=26

Area=120

Mr. K's math class is 1 {1}{4} hours long. After working problems on the board for 55 minutes {11}{12}hour), he gave the student
mel-nik [20]

The number of hours that students have to work on homework will be 1/3 hours.

What is subtraction?

It simply implies subtracting something from an entity, group, location, etc. Subtracting from a collection or a list of ways is known as subtraction.

Mr. K's maths class is 1 and 1/4 hours long.

After working problems on the board for 55 minutes or 11 / 12 hour.

He gave the students the rest of the class period to work on homework.

Then the number of hours that students have to work on homework will be

⇒ 1 + 1/4 - 11/12

⇒ 5 / 4 - 11/ 12

⇒ (15 - 11) / 12

⇒ 4/12

⇒ 1/3 hours

More about the subtraction link is given below.

WILL GIVE BRAINLIST AS SOON AS I CAN is this 32, maybe? i have no idea.
Feliz [49]

Answer:

y ≈ 32.0°

Step-by-step explanation:

Since the triangle is right use the sine ratio to find y

sin y = \frac{opposite}{hypotenuse} = \frac{9}{17}, thus

y = sin^{-1} ( \frac{9}{17} ) ≈ 32.0° ( nearest tenth )
