The correct answer is that they were able to come to the great ports in the Western Europe and travel across Atlantic. Before the invention of railroads they would have to use river transportation to come to Hamburg, which was one of the main ports of that time. This took few days and it was extremely inconvenient.

The question "What was the best idea you ever sold to a supervisor, teacher, peer, or subordinate?" would be used in which type
gavmur [86]

Answer:

Behavioral description interview.

Explanation:

 • The unstructured interview occurs when the interviewer doesn't have a list of answers to do to the interview, or at least it's not fully structured and it goes according to the person's answers and what the interviewer still needs to know.
 • In the behavioral description interview, the interviewer wants to actually know what the interviewed person has done in past situations.
 • In a situational interview, the candidate is asked what would he do in hypothetical escenarios.
 • Compatibility tests are used in early stages of interviewing to see if the candidate profile matches the job for which they are applying.
 • Performance tests put the candidate into a heavy load of pressure to see how he/she would react.

In this question, the actual question "What was the best idea you ever sold to a supervisor, teacher, peer, or subordinate?" is actually asking for information about what the person has done in the past. Therefore, this is an example of a question done in a behavioral description interview.

gavmur [86]

Answer:This would be an example ofa. snowball sampling

Explanation:

A participant chooses someone else to participate on their behalf in a study or test. This happens in cases where it is not easy to fin the actual potential participants. It is called a snowball because when you roll a ball in an snpw it keeps attaching more snow until it gets bigger. The sampling is done randomly which means it is a non probability sampling

Snowball sampling consists of two steps:

The researcher will choose potential participants which are only few at the beginning. The chosen participants will recruits more participants, they don't have to give names. This recruitment goes on until the desired sample proportion is reached. The participants will only encourage others to come but that is not forced. It can be ethically challenging because subjects can be of sensitive topics

Why is Snowball Sampling Used?

In cases where a research deals with sensitive topics such as cheating, shoplifting, drug use and other deviant societal behaviours, participants may not feel comfortable to come forward. However they may suggest others in similar situation as them and be assured of confidentiality.
