Both David Hume and Milarepa believe that a "self" does not exist.Hume claims that we have no evidence of the self is because we humans are constantly evolving and changing. Due to this there is no stable or specific self. Hume thus believed the self is merely an illusion. This align's with Milarepa’s on this subject, who also believed that there is no such thing as the self.
