To form as many ratios you want you just have to multiply the no. 1.1
Let me give you an example:

Choose any positive no. you like! 1,2,3, whatever. Let's say you like no. 3.

1.1 * 3 = 3.3
To make a ratio out of it you just divide the result to 3 ( our chosen bo.)

So the ratio is 3.3 / 3

If you choose no.5 it's 5.5 / 5 and so on making as many ratios as you want!

A recipe for lime salad dressing calls for 1/4 cup lime juice and 3/4 cup olive oil. How much lime juice would you use with 1 cu
Oxana [17]

OK you must establish a relation of  the two first quantities, it means  1/4 lime :  3/4 oil, then with  1 cup oil  it will be x quantity of lime

1/4 cup lime____3/4 cup oil

  x_________1 cup oil             x = 1*1/4÷3/4 ,  x= 1/3  lime juice

Miss white wants to buy 5 value meals at mels dinner what is a reasonable total for he purchase
bagirrra123 [75]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Here you're being asked to recall your own experience in paying for "value meals."  How much have you paid per meal?

If each meal costs $6.50, then 5 would cost $13.00 before tax, and

(1.07)(5)($13.00), or $69.55 total.

Note that there's not just one possible total cost, and that we don't know much about this situation but must insert reasonable values, such as a $6.50 per meal unit cost and a 7% tax rate.

Jacob uses 5/6 of a liter of water to fill 4/7 of the fish aquarium. how many liters of water are needed to fill the aquarium?
Rom4ik [11]
1 - 4 / 7 = 3 / 7  ( It means that it is 3 / 7 of the aquarium left to fill with water )
5 / 6 L ------ 4 / 7
  x L --------- 3 / 7
5 / 6 : x = 4/7  : 3/7
5 / 6 : x = 4 : 3
4 x = 3 * 5/6
4 x = 15/6
x = 15/6  : 4
x = 5/2 : 4 = 5/8 L
Answer:
Jacob needs 5/8 L more to fill the aquarium,
or 5/6 + 5/8 = 35/24 L ( in total ).

Ryan has x stamps in his collection if he was 6 times as many stamps as penny, how many stamps does penny have in her collection
Free_Kalibri [48]

The number of stamps with penny in terms of x is \frac{x}{6}

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

Given that,

Ryan has x stamps in his collection

Number of stamps of Ryan = x stamps

Let the stamps with penny be "a"

Ryan has 6 times as many stamps as penny

Therefore,

Number of stamps in Ryan = 6 times as many stamps as penny

\text{Number of stamps in Ryan } = 6 \times a\\\\x = 6a\\\\a = \frac{x}{6}

Thus number of stamps with penny in terms of x is \frac{x}{6}
