There are two unknowns in the problem statement above so we need two equations in order to solve this. The firs expression is that the <span>sum of two numbers is 50.

x + y = 50

The second expression is that the o</span><span>ne number is 10 less than three times the other number.

x = 10 - 3y

Therefore, the two numbers have values 40 and 10. Hope this answers the question. Have a nice day.</span>

Ok so its a guessing game

I say its 40+10 because

40-10{one # is 10 less than)=30
10(3){three times the other number}=30

so 40+10=50

Simplify 3/4(1/2×-12)+4/5
Wittaler [7]

Answer: \frac{3}{8}x-\frac{41}{5} or  \frac{3}{8}x-8\ \frac{1}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following expression:

\frac{3}{4}(\frac{1}{2}x-12)+\frac{4}{5}

You can follow these steps in order to simplify it:

1.  You need to apply Distributive property:

=\frac{3}{8}x-9+\frac{4}{5}

2. And now you must add the like terms. Then:

=\frac{3}{8}x-\frac{41}{5}

Therefore you get the following answer:

\frac{3}{8}x-\frac{41}{5} or  \frac{3}{8}x-8\ \frac{1}{5}

Joseph needed $125 to buy a new pair of jordan's. His neighbor will pay him $6 per hour to walk his dog and his mother gave him
AveGali [126]

Answer: 14⅝ hiurs

Step-by-step explanation:

Based on the information given in the question, we can form an equation which will be:

8 + 6h = 125

where, h = number of hours

6h = 125 - 8

6h = 117

h = 117/8

h = 14 ⅝hours

Therefore, minimum amount of hours he will need to walk the dog in order for him to buy a new pair of Jordans is 14⅝ hours.
