Answer:

a) KA = 1.2 J

b) vB = 5.00 m/s

c) W = 6.30 J

Explanation:

m = 0.600 kg

vA = 2.00 m/s

KB = 7.50 J

a) KA = ?

b) vB = ?

c) W = ?

We can apply the folowing equations

K = 0.5*m*v²

and

W = ΔK = KB- KA

then

a) KA = 0.5*m*vA² = 0.5*(0.600 kg)*(2.00 m/s)²

⇒  KA = 1.2 J

b) KB = 0.5*m*vB²     ⇒     vB = √(2*KB / m)

⇒     vB = √(2*7.50 J / 0.600 kg)

⇒     vB = 5.00 m/s

c) W = ΔK = KB- KA = (7.50 J) - (1.2 J)

⇒     W = 6.30 J

What do cars, power plants and furnaces have in common?<br> (brainpop)
Serhud [2]

Answer:

They all burn fossil fuel is the correct answer.

Explanation:

Cars, power plants, and furnaces all burn fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas, heavy oils, petroleum, oil.

Burning of these fossil fuels results in a release of a huge amount of carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide gas, into the surrounding that causes air pollution, global warming, acid rain, and these gases present in the environment are highly corrosives and makes suffocating in the environment.

horsena [70]

Answer:12.8°c

Explanation:

specific heat capacity of copper(c)=0.39J*g°c

Mass(m)=20grams

Quantity of heat(Q)=100joules

Temperature rise(@)=?

@=Q/(mxc)

Anne has a sample of a substance. Its volume is 20 cm3, and its mass is 100 grams. What is the sample’s density?
AveGali [126]

Answer:

density = 5000 [kg/m^3]

Explanation:

Density is defined as the relationship between mass and volume.

Now we have:

m = 100 [gr] = 0.1[kg]

V = volume = 20[cm^3]

20[cm^{3}]*1[\frac{m^{3} }{100^{3} cm^{3} } ] = 2*10^{-5}[m^{3} ]

density = 0.1 / (2 x 10^-5)

density = 5000 [kg/m^3]
