Theresa earned scores of 88 points, 84 points, 88 points, and 91 points on four tests. What is the lowest score she can get on t
Yanka [14]
So u will do 88+84=172+88=260+91=351 and that is all four tests added up now u have to divide the answer by 4 because it was four tests averages
351/4=87.75 wich is aproxamately 88
so with all four of them added wich is 351 u will add the answer choices so 351+96=447/5=89.4 wich is aproxamately 89
351+97=448/5=89.6 wich is aproxamately 90
351+98=449/5=89.8 wich is aproxamately 90
351+99=450/5=90
so i would say that 99 points is the one she needs to score because it isnt asking for aproxamately
so it is 99 points

Sally can detail a car in 50 minutes. Manny does the same job in 35 minutes. How long will it take them to detail a car working
Debora [2.8K]

<u>Answer:</u>

Both Sally ans Manny can detail a car in 20.6 min.

<u>Solution: </u>

Let us assume that together they will take total x minutes to detail the car.

Sally detail the car in 50 min.

So in 1 min sally can detail \left(\frac{1}{50}\right) of the car.

Hence in x min sally can detail \left(\frac{x}{50}\right) of the car.

Manny can detail a car in 35 min.

So in 1 min many can detail \left(\frac{1}{35}\right) of the car.

Hence in x min Manny can detail \left(\frac{x}{35}\right) of the car.

So we can say,

\left(\frac{x}{50}\right)+\left(\frac{x}{35}\right)=1

x\left(\frac{1}{50}+\frac{1}{35}\right)=1

x\left(\frac{7+10}{350}\right)=1

\left(\frac{17 x}{350}\right)=1

17 x=350

x=\left(\frac{350}{17}\right)=20.5 8\approx 20.6

So, both of them can detail a car in 20.6 min.
