1)When Abraham Lincoln got nominated for president  

Since Abraham Lincoln wanted to end slavery South Carolina  seceded immediately

2)The Compromise of 1850

When the Fugitive Slave Law was passed saying all slaves shall return to the south the north disagree

3)Uncle Tom's Cabin

When Uncle Tom's Cabin was published by Harriet Beecher Stowe the North was horrified of how the South treated the slaves the South had to ban this book
