Using the graph above, create a system of inequalities that only contains points B and C in the overlapping shaded regions. Expl

ain how the lines will be graphed and shaded on the coordinate grid above. (5 points) Part B: Explain how to verify that the points B and C are solutions to the system of inequalities created in Part A. (3 points) Part C: Lisa can only attend a school in her designated zone. Lisa's zone is defined by y > 2x + 5. Explain how you can identify the schools that Lisa is allowed to attend. (2 points)

1. The system of inequality is

y < 1.5x - 3

y < -2x/3 + 4

2. A is (2,-3)

E is (3,1)

-3 < 1.5(2) - 4

-3 < -1

1 < -2(3)/3 + 4

1 < 2

3. You can graph the inequality and see which schools inside the zone. Schools C and B are the schools he is allowed to attend.

hope it helps

Alexis wants to make a paperweight at pottery class. He designs a pyramid-like mode l with a base area of 100 square centimeters
olga55 [171]

Answer:

\frac{3}{2} g/cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

First, we need to find the volume of the prism. The volume of a square pyramid is V = Bh/3

B = 100 cm²

h = 6 cm

V = 100 cm² * 6 cm /3

V = 600 cm³ /3

V = 200 cm³

Next, we need to solve for the density based on the desired volume and mass.

m = mass = 300 g

V = volume

density = m/V

density = 300 g / 200 cm³

density = 3/2 g/cm³

The lowest possible density of the material to make the paperweight would be \frac{3}{2} g/cm²

asambeis [7]

The walls are vertical so the angle opposite X would be a right angle which is 90 degrees.

X would be 180 - 90 - 35 = 55 degrees

X and 2y - 5 are complementary angles which add together to equal 90:

2y - 5 + 55 = 90

Simplify:

2y +50 = 90

Subtract 50 from both sides:

2y = 40

Divide both sides by 2:

y = 20

Answer:

  f(x) = 6x +1

Step-by-step explanation:

Differences in x-values (first row) are 1, 1, 1.

Differences in y-values (second row) are 6, 6, 6.

The constant ratio of differences (6/1) tells you the function is linear, and has a slope of m = 6/1 = 6.

Using the first point in the form ...

  y = mx + b

we have ...

  y = 6x + b

  7 = 6·1 + b . . . . (x, y) = (1, 7)

  1 = b . . . . . . subtract 6

Then the equation can be written ...

  y = 6x +1

In functional form, this is ...

  f(x) = 6x +1
