Answer:

Chlorophyll is a green pigment, present in all green plants and in cyanobacteria, responsible for the absorption of light to provide energy for photosynthesis. It's molecule contains a magnesium atom held in a porphyrin ring. The reason that chlorophyll is green is because it absorbs other colors of light such as red and blue, so in a way the green light is reflected out since the pigment does not absorb it. Hope this helps! Have a blessed day!

Chlorophyll is a part of plants that makes food like sugars and starches in order for the plant to survive. The green pigmentation that it has comes from absorbing the red and blue light hues in the surrounding areas to reflect it back as green as blue and red make green.

In both mitosis and meiosis, _________ must occur for the process to continue to completion.
sineoko [7]

Answer: C, chromosome replication

Explanation:

A, B, and D only occur in meiosis, as crossing over is required for genetic variation, which isn't needed in mitosis, reduction division is when diploids are reduced to haploids, which only happens in meiosis, and homologous chromosomes making tetras doesn't occur in mitosis either. However, during interphase of both mitosis and meiosis, chromosomes (DNA more specifically) are replicated.
