To do this, we have to solve the equation 3 times for 3 different values for f(x).
Those three numbers are -2, 2, and 4, the numbers in the range.
First solve for -2.
-2 = -2x + 6
Subtract 6 from each side:
-8 = -2x
Divide by -2 on each side:
4 = x       That's one value done.

Next, solve with 2.
2 = -2x + 6
Subtract 6 from both sides.
-4 = -2x
Divide each side by -2.
2 = x         Second value solved for.

Last value: 4.
4 = -2x + 6
Subtract 6 from each side.
-2 = -2x
Divide each side by -2.
1 = x.       Now just put the domain together.

Domain is this:
{4, 2, 1}.
Hope this helps!

Find the value of x explain how you got your answer
aliya0001 [1]

Answer:

step 1: x+50+4x=90

the angle of a right-angled triangle is 90 degrees, therefore if we add everything together ,we could work out what x is.

step 2: x+50+4x=90

                  x+4x=50

                      5x=50

                        x=10

then you solve the equation, x is 10

(83 + x)/2 = 107
83 + x = 107 * 2
83 + x = 214
x = 214 - 83
x = 131°

Yesterday, Jack drove 43.5 miles. He used 11 gallons of gasoline. What is the unit rate for miles per gallon?
Alexxx [7]

Answer:

the unit rate for miles per gallons = 3.95 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x be the unit rate for miles per gallon.

Given:

Jack drove 43.5 miles. He used 11 gallons of gasoline.

Find the unit rate for miles per gallon?

Jack used 11 gallons of gasoline for 43.5 miles.

11 gallons = 43.5 miles

The unit rate for miles per gallon is

unit rate of gallons = total miles divided by total used gallons of gasoline

x=\frac{43.5}{11}

x=3.95miles

Therefore, the unit rate for miles per gallons is 3.95 miles.

Six ft or two meters
matrenka [14]
Two meters is greater because there are about 79 inches in two meters and when you do 6 x 12 you get 72 inches, so six feet are less than two meters. Vice versa if you wanted the smaller length.
