A hockey team plays in an arena with a seating capacity of 15,000 spectators. With the ticket price set at , average attendance

at a game has been 11,000. A market survey indicates that for each dollar the ticket price is lowered, average attendance will increase by 1000. How should the owners of the team set the ticket price to maximize their revenue from ticket sales?

Answer:

Ticket price 11,5 $

R(max)  =  132750 $

Step-by-step explanation:INCOMPLETE QUESTION

The ticket price is missing

We will assume 12 $

Let call x the decreasing number of the ticket price

The revenue is

R =  ticket price * numbers of spectator

R(x) =  (  12 - x ) *  ( 11000 + 1000*x )   for all   0 ≤ x  ≤ 4   ( the seating capacity is 15000 )

R(x) =  132000 + 12000*x  - 11000*x - 1000*x²

R(x) =  132000 + 1000*x  - 1000*x²

Taking derivatives on both sides of the equatio we get:

R´(x)  =  1000  -  2000x

R´(x)  = 0    ⇒    1000  -  2000x  =  0

x  =  1000/2000    ⇒  x = 0,5 $

We notice that R´´(x)  < 0    then we have a maximum for  x = 0,5

and the price is 12 - 0,5  = 11,5 $ for ticket

and the R(max) is

R(max) = 132000 + 1000*0,5  + 1000* (0,5)²

R(max) = 132000 + 500 + 250

R(max) = 132750 $

I used the rise/run method you rise 13 and run -11 which means on the x axis you move 11 spaces to the left and on the y axis you move 13 spaces up.

A circle is drawn within a square as shown.
Vinil7 [7]
<h3>Area of shaded region is 21.5 square centimeter</h3>

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

The area of the shaded region is equal to the area of the square minus the area of the circle

<em><u> Find the area of the square</u></em>

Area\ of\ square = a^2

Where, "a" is the length of each side

From given figure in question,

a = 10 cm

Area\ of\ square = 10^2\\\\Area\ of\ square = 100\ cm^2

<em><u>Find the area of circle </u></em>

The area of the circle is given as:

Area\ of\ circle = \pi r^2

Where, "r" is the radius of circle

Diameter = 10 cm

r = \frac{diameter}{2}\\\\r = \frac{10}{2}\\\\r = 5

Thus,

Area\ of\ circle = 3.14 \times 5^2\\\\Area\ of\ circle = 3.14 \times 25\\\\Area\ of\ circle = 78.5\ cm^2

<em><u>Find the area of the shaded region</u></em>

Area of shaded Region = Area of Square - Area of Circle

Area of shaded Region = 100 - 78.5 = 21.5

Thus area of shaded region is 21.5 square centimeter

What is the measure of angle c? (Brainliest and Bonus points for best answer)
k0ka [10]

Answer:

\displaystyle 65°

Step-by-step explanation:

Angle <em>b</em> and 135° form a <em>linear pair</em>, so when summing them up to 180°, you will have 45° left over:

\displaystyle 180° = 135° + m∠b; 45° = m∠b

Now, by the <em>Vertical</em><em> </em><em>Angles</em><em> </em><em>Theorem</em>, angle <em>a</em> and 70°, in this case, are to be in <u>congruence</u> with each other, so you have that.

Now you must find the the measure of angle <em>c</em> sinse you have already found the measure of two angles already:

\displaystyle 180° = 45° + m∠c + 70° → 180° = 115° + m∠c; 65° = m∠c

I am joyous to assist you at any time.
