If you take into account the amount of ATP generated by ATP synthase per molecule of NADH produced in aerobic respiration, the n

et number of ATP molecules produced by substrate-level phosphorylation, and the fact that NADH molecules produced in the cytoplasm have to be transported into the mitochondria, what is the predicted energy yield of glycolysis in eukaryotic cells?

Answer:

The predicted energy yield of Glycolysis is 8 molecules of ATP.

Explanation:

During glycolysis NAD+ is reduced to NADH by the conversion of glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate to 1,3 bisphosphoglycerate by the catalytic activity of glyceraldehyde 3 phosphate dehydrogenase.

In this reaction 2 molecules of NAD+ is reduced into 2 molecules of NADH. The 2 molecules of NADH enter into electron transport chain to generate 6 molecules of ATP.

when 1,3 bisphosphoglycerate is converted 3 phosphoglycerate by  Phosphoglycerate kinase resulting in the formation of 2 molecules of ATP.

From all the above aspects it can be stated that according to the given question the predicted energy yield of Glycolysis in eukaryotic cell is 8 molecules of ATP.

Anit [1.1K]

Answer: DNA ligase.

Explanation:

Polymerase chain reaction is a technique used in molecular biology by scientists to make several copies of a DNA sample which enable them to take a smaller portions of it and expand it for more detailed study.

PCR mixture is premixed and contain thermostable DNA polymerase, oligonucleotides primer, four deoxynucleodide triphosphates, Magnesium chlorides, a propietary buffer.

How does an animals physiology dictate its diet?
stepan [7]
An animal's physiology can indicate it's diet based on what the animal's body can handle processing. For example, animal's with strong bones and teeth can break down food that is tough to eat, this helps obtain energy alot quicker. For instance, giraffes have long and slender necks that are perfect for reaching up to trees. The giraffe's diet would consist of vegetation located in high levels.
