How does this e-mail show how an individual can influence government? “Dear Cynthia Citizen, Thank you for your letter about you

r flooded neighborhood. I had no idea your street flooded with every rainstorm! Certainly I can see why that is a problem for you and your neighbors. I have the issue set for discussion at the next county meeting on Tuesday the 24th. If possible, I know it would help the other council members understand the problem if you and/or your neighbors could come speak about it. Bring pictures if you have any. Sincerely, Chris Carrod County Council Member” Council Member Carrod explains that the citizen must have help from her neighbors if she expects it back. Ms. Citizen expects that her council member will pay himself for repairs to the streets in her neighborhood. Council Member Carrod does not think the council will want to do anything about the flooded neighborhood. Ms. Citizen sent her elected official a letter about her flooding problem, and now the council will discuss it.

Ms. Citizen sent her elected official a letter about her flooding problem, and now the council will discuss it.

The council member responded to Ms. Citizen and is concerned about her flood problem.  She voiced her problem about the flooding to the council member and he is taking action.  As a citizen, she influenced the council, which is her local government, to discuss the problem and hopefully fix it.

Kyla is afraid of spiders. Her therapist recommended systematic desensitization to deal with her phobia. They have been working
Sav [38]

Answer: C-Begin by placing the spider far enough away from Kyla that her heart rate remains at her baseline. Each time you move the spider closer to Kyla, you will see her heart rate change on the monitor. Do not move it closer to her until her deep breathing returns her heart rate to the baseline.

Explanation:

Systematic desensitization involves identifying anxiety producing stimuli, learning how to relax, and then using relaxation to cope with a progressive series of anxiety-provoking stimuli. The correct answer is to  begin by placing the spider far enough away from Kyla that her heart rate remains at her baseline. Then, Each time  the spider is placed closer to Kyla,  her heart rate will  change so it is recommendable not move it closer to her until her deep breathing returns her heart rate to the baseline. Thus, relaxation will be used to deal with her anxiety.

Novosadov [1.4K]

The Constitution limits the power of the national government by two methods, Federalism and Separation of Power. Federalism limits the power of the Federal Government by splitting powers to the National Government and the states, while some powers are shared among both. Separation of Powers limits the power of the government by dividing those powers to all three branches of government to make it more stable. The separation of powers was put into place so the federal government are kept distinct in order to prevent abuse of any power. Federalism was included in the U.S. Constitution to show how both the government and the state’s share equal power as well as share the same powers. The Constitution helps with limiting the powers of both the national government and the states to create a stable nation.
