We have been given that two 2 1/2 inch plastic strips and two 5 1/3 plastic strips are used to form a rectangle.

Let us find the length of the plastic strips.

Two 2 1/2 inch

 = 2 \times 2\frac{1}{2}\\=2 \times\frac{5}{2} \\ \\=5 \text{ inches}

Two 5 1/3  inch

= 2 \times 5\frac{1}{3}\\=2 \times\frac{16}{3} \\ \\=\frac{32}{3} \text{ inches}

Therefore, the perimeter of the rectangle is given by

5+ \frac{32}{3}\\ =\frac{47}{3} \\ \\= 15.7\text{ inches}

The perimeter of the rectangle is 15.7 inches.

Explain why the two equations below have the same solutions. x + 3y = −1 −2x − 6y = 2
Aloiza [94]
X + 3y= -1
-2x - 6y = 2

These two equations have the same solution because we can see that they are equivalent.

One way to find out is this:-

Since x has a +1 next to it, and the other equation has a (-2) next to the x, we can multiply everything on the first equation by 2 to see if they are equivalent.

x+3y= -1
(-2)*x + 3y*-2 = -1*-2
-2x+ (-6y) = 2
-2x-6y=2

Now we know that both of these equations have the same solution.

Use the area of the rectangle to find the area of the triangle.
tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

Answer is A

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of triangle = \frac{bxh}{2}

                          =\frac{10x5}{2}

                         =25

Area of rectangle = bxh

                             =10x5

                             = 50

Solve the equation lol 54x+6x-30=7(x+2)+3x
stiv31 [10]

Answer: 22/25

Step-by-step explanation:

54x+6x-30=7(x+2)+3x

60x-30=7(x+2)+3x

60x-30=7x+14+3x

60x-30=10x+14

60x-10x-30=14

60x-10x=14+30

50x=14+30

50x=44

x=22/25

A beach ball has a diameter of 10 inches. What is the volume of air contained inside the beach ball? Use 3.14 for pi. Round your
kompoz [17]
If the ball's diameter is 10, the radius is half that, or 5 then,

\bf \textit{volume of a sphere}\\\\
V=\cfrac{4\pi r^3}{3}\quad
\begin{cases}
r=radius\\
-----\\
r=5
\end{cases}\implies V=\cfrac{4\pi \cdot 5^3}{3}
