Answer to the slope and y-intercepts at the top:

#2: slope = -3 & y-intercept = (0,5)

#3: slope = 1 & y-intercept = (0, 4)

#4: slope = 5/6 & y-intercept = (0, -3)

#5: slope = -3 & y-intercept = (0, -7)

#6: slope = 1/5 & y-intercept = (0, 2)

Answers for the equations at bottom:

#5: y = 4/9x + 7

#6: y = -x - 6

#7: y = 2x + 5

#8: y = -4x + 7

Hope this helps! :)

Maru [420]

Step-by-step explanation:

3(2.4x+4)=4.1x+7+3.1x\qquad\text{use the distributive property}\\\\(3)(2.4x)+(3)(4)=(4.1x+3.1x)+7\\\\7.2x+12=7.2x+7\qquad\text{subtract}\ 7.2x\ \text{from both sides}\\\\12=7\qquad\text{FALSE}\\\\Answer:\ \text{Zero (no solutions)}.

Machine M, working alone at its constant rate, produces x widgets every 4 minutes. Machine N, working alone at its constant rate
Harman [31]

Answer:

Yes

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that Machine M, working alone at its constant rate, produces x widgets every 4 minutes. Machine N, working alone at its constant rate, produces y widgets every 5 minutes.

When both machines work for 20 minutes

Machine A would produce = \frac{20}{4} =5 widget and

Machine B would produce = \frac{20}{5} =4 widgets

So we can say that Machine A would produce more widgets than Machine N at that time.

Answer is Yes
