Answer:

30 and 6

Explanation:

Let the numbers be x and y. Then

<span>x+y=36</span>
<span>x−y=24</span>

Adding the two equations together gives

<span>2x=60</span>

<span>∴x=30</span>

Substituting this back into either of the equations gives <span>y=<span>6</span></span>

Sum means add.
difference means subtract.

x + y = 36
x - y = 24  Just to make it complete, I finish the problem. Add the two equations.
=======
2x = 60 Divide by 2
x = 60/2
x = 30

x + y = 36 Substitute for x
30 + y = 36 Subtract 30
y = 36 - 30
y = 6

So the solution point is (30,6)

Serhud [2]
Of 5 out of 12 (5/12) are sports games and 3 out of 12 (3/12) are educational, then you would add these together because you need a total for both because it would include one or the other, so both.

5/12 + 3/12= 8/12 or 2/3 are one or the other.

Answer:

\frac{ {x}^{2} }{y(x - y)}  +  \frac{ {y}^{2} }{ - x(x - y)}

\frac{ {x}^{2} }{y(x - y)}  -  \frac{ {y}^{2} }{x(x - y)}

\frac{ {x}^{2}  \times x  -  {y}^{2}  \times y}{xy(x -y)}

\frac{(x - y)( {x}^{2}  + xy +  {y}^{2}) }{xy(x - y)}

\frac{ {x}^{2} + xy +  {y}^{2}  }{xy}
