Cellulose makes the cell walls of all plant cells.

Option B

<h3><u>Explanation:</u></h3>

Enzymes are biomolecules that act as biocatalysts and to enhance the rate of a chemical reaction. Lipids and proteins make up the cell membrane bilayer. Cholesterol is a lipid molecule that comes under the category of very low density lipoprotein. Its not associated with storing the genetic information. The DNA stores the genetic information.

Glucose is the chief respiratory substrate of a cell. Its not associated with the increase in rate of a reaction. But cellulose is the molecule that is a polymer of glucose that is associated with the formation of cell walls in plants.

Explain why it is important for dying cells to be properly removed
victus00 [196]
Cells within the body are properly arranged and their production uses up resources of the body. For example, red blood cells use iron while being produced. The body must dispose of cell properly to maintain the orderly arrangement of cells; for example, if dead skin cells were not removed, we would lose feeling in our skin due to the layer of dead cells. Moreover, the body must work to minimize wastage. This is why some of the iron from red blood cells is removed and reused.

Which of the following is not a function of actin-binding proteins? Select one:
Misha Larkins [42]

Answer:

option d. end capping

Explanation:

The ABP or actin binding proteins are attached with actin. The actin filaments are attached with ABP. The actin binding proteins provide large number of monomers of actin for polymerization. The ABP also help in new filament assembly. The ABP function in promoting the process of elongation. The ABP allows filament severing/depolymerization.

The end is attached with cap having the pointed or barbed ends. The barbed end gets attached with capping proteins (CP) thus blocking polymerization. So, ABP are not involved in end capping. Thus, option d is incorrect.
