Genetically-modified organisms (GMOs) have included corn crops engineered to produce a natural pesticide to kill a certain insec
dimulka [17.4K]

The correct answer is option C, that is, the insects could grow resistant to the pesticide in the genetically-modified corn and become immune to regular pesticides.

The genetically modified organisms are usually developed to be more resistant to pesticides or produce pesticides themselves. The GM crops do not have monarch butterflies or honeybees. However, the insects that consume genetically modified crops can, in some of the circumstances, begins to establish a resistance to the protein that usually kills them.

chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

Homology refers to the similarities between the group of species that share the common ancestor.  The homology individuals arise from a common ancestor. They shows divergent evolution. The basic structure in homology is similar. The organs perform different function. They occur due to the evolutionary process.

Homoplasy refers to the shared characters of the group of species that do not share the common ancestor. The homoplasy do not involve the common ancestor. They shows convergent evolution. Which statement about sexual reproduction in flowering plants is true
asambeis [7]

Answer:

D) Asexual reproduction produces offspring that are genetically identical to the parent.

Explanation:

I am honestly not quite sure of this answer, but I was trying to read up on the topic and this is the answer I'm most confident in. It would make sense that the offspring are genetically identical to the parent because they would have no where else to get their genes/mix to form new ones. I really hope this helps!
