If you started your own company selling iphone applications, what organizational structure would you create? why?
Sladkaya [172]

I will create a combination of functional and project-based organizational structures.  I have selected the combination due to the following rationale.

  1. There are different types and categories of iPhone applications. So, the development of each application is a project. Accordingly, competent professionals will be used and they will move from one project to another project.
  2. Selling of applications as well as taking care of HR operational aspects of the business will require people with expertise in these functional areas also. So, getting good sales as well as HR retention is the top priority for the business.
  3. A combination of these two structures will create a mix of back end and front end without any departmental inclination. So, the company will succeed.

Opting for other structures will either focus on applications or sales. But, it will be ineffective as sales will not happen without applications and applications alone cannot generate good sales without proper marketing.

Besides, there can be role confusion and conflict of interest with other organizational structure such as line only or staff only structures. Even, the selection of project-only or functional-only organizational structures will create problems and employee turnover will also increase.

Ellen purchased a dishwasher, which cost $315 before the 9. 22% sales tax. She used the machine an average of 10 times per week
antiseptic1488 [7]

Cost is the amount of spending on a product or service. The lifetime cost of the dishwasher was $1029.8 which is $1030 approximately.

<h3>What is the cost?</h3>

Cost is the amount incurred on acquiring a product or using a service. Cost is the value of the product or service.

The lifetime value of an asset is the total expense incurred on the asset from acquisition till disposal.

The lifetime cost of the dishwasher will be the sum of its cost, sales tax, and water and electricity charges for 6 years.

The water and electricity charges are $0.09 and $0.13 per use. The total number of times the dishwasher is used can be calculated as:

The number of use per week are 10, number of weeks in a year are 52, and number of years of use are 6.

\rm Number\:of\:uses = 10\:times\times 52\:weeks\:\times6\:years\\\\\rm Number\:of\:uses = 3120\:times

Therefore, the water and electricity charges will be:

\rm Water\:charges = 3,120 \times \$0.09\\\\\rm Water\:charges = \$280.08\\\\\rm Electricity \:charges = 3,120\times \$0.13\\\\\rm Electricity \:charges = \$405.60

The cost of the dishwasher will be a combination of its purchase price and sales tax. Therefore:

\rm Cost\:of\:dishwasher = \$315 + 9.22\%\\\\\rm Cost\:of\:dishwasher = \$344.043

The lifetime cost of the dishwasher will be:

\rm Lifetime\:cost\:of\:dishwasher = \$344.043 + \$280.08 +\$405.60\\\\\rm Lifetime\:cost\:of\:dishwasher = \$1029.7\\\\\rm Lifetime\:cost\:of\:dishwasher = \$1030 (approximately)

Therefore the correct option is A.

If u.s. firms attempt to use covered interest arbitrage to capitalize on the high argentine peso interest rate, what forces shou
lesya [120]

Answer:

The answer is: Downward pressure on the Argentine peso's forward rate

Explanation:

Forward rates are interest rates applicable to financial transactions that will happen in the future.

Currently the Argentine peso is yielding a high interest rate. If American firms try to benefit from this by investing in financial transactions involving Argentine pesos, they will eventually put downward pressure to reduce Argentine peso's forward rate. As the demand for Argentine pesos increase, they will yield lower interest rates.
