Mathematics

Answer:

∠2 and ∠8

Explanation:

Alternate exterior angles are angles that are outside of the parallel lines and on opposite sides of the transversal.

There are two pairs of alternate exterior angles in this figure, ∠1 and ∠7, and ∠2 and ∠8.  The only one of these two in our options is ∠2 and ∠8.

The \bf{\angle 2} and \bf{\angle 8} are the alternate exterior angles.

Further explanation:

If two parallel lines intersected by a third line called as a transversal line, it froms eight angles as shown in Figure 1.

The eight angles will together form four pairs of corresponding angles.

\angle 1 and \angle 5 constitutes one of the pairs. Corresponding angles are congruent. All angles that have the same position with regards to the parallel lines and the transversal are corresponding pairs.e.g. \angle3+\angle7, \angle2+\angle6, \angle4+\angle8.

Angles that are in the area between the parallel lines like \angle 4 and \angle6 above are called interior angles whereas the angles that are on the outside of the two parallel lines like \angle1 and \angle8 are called exterior angles.

Angles that are on the opposite sides of the transversal are called alternate angles.e.g. \angle1+\angle7.

All the angles that are either exterior pair of angles, interior pair of angles, alternate pair of angles or corresponding pair of angles are all congruent.

From the given figure, it is observed that the \angle 1+\angle7 and \angle 2+\angle8 are alternate exterior angles.

Therefore, \bf{\angle 2} and \bf{\angle 8} are the alternate exterior angles.

Which division expression is equivalent to
In-s [12.5K]

The correct answer would be A.  13/3 Divided by -5/6

The total answer would be negative 5 1/5

because you do 4x3+1=13 over the denominator that is already there so 13/3 then you do KCF a.k.a keep change and flip you keep 13/3 change the division sign into multiplication sign then you flip the -5/6 to -6/5 then multiply straight across and reduce this is the way my teacher taught me how to remember - to positive kind of things:

when a negative thing or bad thing happens to a good person is that good or bad in this case thats bad because if you think about it if a bad thing happend to someone you care about that would be bad. then that same idea goes for each pattern another example could be a good thing (+) happens to a good person (+) it is good (+)

(+) (+)=+

(-) (-)=+

(+) (-)= -

(-) (+)= -

Hope this helps. Have a good day! :)

Find the partial fraction decomposition of 2x-5/x^2+3x-10
jek_recluse [69]

Answer:

  \dfrac{-1}{7(x-2)}+\dfrac{15}{7(x+5)}

Step-by-step explanation:

For f(x) = (2x-5)/((x -2)(x +5)), the decomposition will be of the form ...

  f(x) = A/(x -2) +B/(x +5)

The values of A and B can be found from ...

  A = (x -2)f(x) evaluated at x=2

  A = (2·2-5)/(2+5) = -1/7

__

  B = (x +5)f(x) evaluated at x=-5

  B = (2(-5) -5)/(-5-2) = -15/-7 = 15/7

  \dfrac{2x-5}{x^2+3x-10}=\bf{\dfrac{-1}{7(x-2)}+\dfrac{15}{7(x+5)}}
