The rectangular prism is made of 8 cubes and has and edge length of 1/2 in, what is the volume
sashaice [31]
Hello!

To find the volume of the prism you first have to find the volume of a cube

To do this you use the equation

V =  a^{3}

V is volume
a is side length

Put in the values you know

V =  \frac{1}{2}^{3}

Solve

V = 0.125

Now to find the volume of the prism you multiply the volume of one cube by the amount of cubes in the prism

0.125 * 8 = 1

The answer is 1 cubic inch

Hope this helps!

Examine the intersection of these lines:
Leto [7]

Answer:

∠B and ∠F

∠F and ∠E . . . already listed in the problem statement, so may not be considered an "other pair"

Step-by-step explanation:

∠C and ∠F are vertical angles, so are congruent. Then any angle complementary to one of those will also be complementary to the other.

Likewise, ∠B and ∠E are vertical angles and congruent. Any angle complementary to one of them will also be complementary to the other. Here, ∠E and ∠F are listed as complementary, so we know ∠B and ∠F will be also.

The height of a sunflower increases from 160cm to 2 metres in a week. Find the percentage increase in height
Assoli18 [71]

Answer:

25%

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that

Initial height of sunflower=160 cm

After increasing

Final height of sunflower=2m

We have to find the percentage increase in height.

1 m=100 cm

2m=2\times 100=200cm

Increase in height of sunflower=Final height of sunflower-initial height of sunflower

Increase in height of sunflower=200-160=40cm

Percentage increase=\frac{Increase\;value}{Initial\;value}\times 100

Using the formula

Percentage increase in height=\frac{40}{160}\times 100

Percentage increase in height=25%

Select an equation to solve the problem. Then solve. Joaquin is saving $369 to buy a surf board. He saved $9 each week for 11 we
iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

9m = 270

m = \$30

Joaquin needs to save $30 each week.

Step-by-step explanation:

Total money required for buying a surf board = $369

Money saved every week for first 11 weeks = $9

Total money saved in first 11 weeks = 11 \times 9 = $99

Joaquin wants to buy the surf board in 9 more weeks.

To find:

Money to be saved each week for the next 9 weeks so that the surf board can be bought?

Solution:

Let the money to be saved each week for the next 9 months = $m

Total money to be saved in the next 9 months = $9m

Now, let us find the remaining amount of money to be saved by subtracting the total money saved from the cost of surf board. And then compare it with $9m.

369 - 99 = 9m\\\Rightarrow 9m = 270

Solving the equation, we get:

m = \$30

Therefore, Joaquin needs to save $30 each week.

Mrs.sorestam bought one ruler for 0.49$ one compass for 1.49$ and one mechanical pencil 0.49 at the price shown in the table for
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

12(x−2.57)=0.36

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the initial amount of money Mrs. Sorenstam had to spend on each student.

The cost of the 3 items is:

1.49+0.59+0.49=2.57

The change left for each student will be:

x−2.57

For 12 students, the change left will be

12(x−2.57) which equals 36 cents, according to the problem

So, the equation to represent this situation will be:

12(x−2.57)=0.36
