<span>(3/4)*(5z+16), ((3/4) * 5z + </span>(3/4) * 16<span>), 3.75z + 12. I think that is right? I'm not 100% sure.</span>

You were sick and take a test a day late. Your 95 raised the class average from 69 to 70. How many students, including you, took
tia_tia [17]

Answer:

  • <u>26</u>

Explanation:

The <em>average</em> is the mean. It is calculated adding all the values and dividing the sum by the number of values (data):

For the students who took the test the day before you, you can write:

mean_1=\sum scores/n

Where n is the number of students who took the test first.

Thus, when the average was 69 the equation is:

69=\sum scores/n

When you take the test, the n + 1, the new average is 70, and the sum of the scores raised in 95 points:

mean_2=(\sum scores + 95)/(n+1)\\ \\ 70=(\sum scores+95)/(n+1)

Now you have a system of two equation and two unknowns, so you can solve it.

Clear the sum of the scores from the first equation:

69=\sum scores/n=>\sum scores=69n

Subsitute in the second equation:

70=(69n+95)/(n+1)

Solve for n:

70(n+1)=69n+95\\ \\ 70n+70=69n+95\\ \\ 70n-69n=95-70\\ \\ n=25

Thus, when you include your self the number of students who took the test was 25 + 1 = 26.

Rectangle JKLM is similar to rectangle WXYZ . What is the scale factor of a dilation from JKLM to WXYZ ? Enter your answer in th
Oxana [17]
JKLM to WXYZ

JM = 9                ZW = 13.5
JK = 12               WX = 18

the scale factor is what u multiply the original shape to get the coordinates of the other shape.
13.5 / 9 = 1.5

9 * 1.5 = 13.5
12 * 1.5 = 18

so ur scale factor is 1.5 (because if u multiply 1.5 by the original shape, u get the new shape)

A metallic cuboid measuring 16cm by 8 cm by 4cm was melted.The material was used to make a cube . What is the length of the cube
Lerok [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The volume of the metal cuboid = length x width x height = 16 x 8 x 3 = 16 x 24 = 384 cm^3

If this same cuboid is going to be reshaped, then

The  volume of the cuboid = The volume of the cube

Therefore,

l^3 = 384

l = \sqrt[3]{384}

l = 7.268..

l = 7.27cm ( 2dp)

Hope this helps.
