Hello again!
So just like in the last problem you would do the same here.
Solve for 3y + 6 = 3
Subtract 6 from both sides.
3y = -3
Divide by 3.
y = -1
Now plug it into 8y + 2.
8(-1) + 2 = ?
-8 + 2 = ?
= -6
I hope this helps love! :)

What is the measurement of Angle JKL? *
nataly862011 [7]

Answer:

Option (1)

Step-by-step explanation:

From the triangles given in the picture,

Since, JK ≅ KL [Given]

JM ≅ ML [Given]

KM ≅ KM [Reflexive property of congruence]

ΔJMK ≅ ΔLMK [SSS property of congruence]

Therefore, ∠JKM ≅ ∠LKM [CPCTC]

(2x + 5) = (3x - 6)

3x - 2x = 5 + 6

x = 11

m∠JKL = m∠JKM + m∠LKM

            = (2x + 5) + (3x - 6)

            = 5x - 1

            = 5(11) - 1

             = 54

Option (1) will be the answer.

Can someone help simplify?: -8x^3y2(2x^4y^4)
Kisachek [45]

So the rule with multiplying exponents of the same base is to add the exponents together. Applying this rule here would look like this:

-8x^3y^2*2x^4y^4=(-8*2)x^{3+4}y^{2+4}=-16x^7y^6

In short, your simplified expression is going to be -16x^7y^6.

Write an equation of the line in point slope form, that passes through the two given points
Anika [276]

Answer:

  y -15 = -3(x +2)

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope will be ...

  m = (y2 -y1)/(x2 -x1)

  m = (-18 -15)/(9 -(-2)) = -33/11 = -3

Point-slope form is ...

  y -y1 = m(x -x1) . . . . . line with slope m through point (x1, y1)

Using the first point, the equation is ...

  y -15 = -3(x +2)

Which law would you use to simplify the expression (x^4)^9?
Monica [59]
The Power of a Power Rule. In this case, you basically multiply the two exponents together, and simplify (x^4)^9 to equal x^36
