The correct answer is B) to help former slaves obtain food, shelter, clothing, and education.

The purpose of the Freedmen's Bureau established by Congress during Southern Reconstruction was to help former slaves obtain food, shelter, clothing, and education.

US Congress established the Freedmen's Bureau in 1865, after the end of the American Civil War. Its purpose was to help poor former slaves and white people that lived under harsh economic circumstances. The Bureau offered them legal assistance, medical attention, shelter, and food. This was a good idea. Unfortunately, there were not enough funds to really help this number of people.

What best represents the trend of party polarization over the past three decades?
nadya68 [22]

"Each congressional party has become more homogeneous, and the distance between parties has increased." This represents the trend of party polarization over the past three decades.

Political party polarization refers to cases in which an individual's stance on a given policy or issue is strictly defined by their identification with a particular political party.

The reasons for the rise in party polarization include political parties, redistricting, the public's political ideology, and the role mass media in spreading the information.

The congressional party are creating programs and policies that shape public opinions. Once the political party win the elections, they form the government and its policies are implemented.

Hence, over the past three decades, each congressional party has become more homogeneous, and the distance between parties has increased. This includes the expanding number of candidates in the party.

Describe Jays treaty, the pinckney treaty and the treaty of ghent.
mash [69]
Jay's Treaty was between the US and Great Britain that is claimed to helping avoid war, resolving issues and leading to 10 years of peaceful trading between the two countries. The treaty requested the removal of British troops from pre-Revolutionary War forts, Some Americans were not happy with this idea because they feared it would help foster aristocracy. After the ten years, the Pinkney Treaty that would continue the agreement was rejected by Jefferson leading the way for the War of 1812. The major point of the Monroe-Pinkney Treaty was to get Britain to quit impressing Americans into serving in the Royal Navy during the French war. The British didn't concede because they felt it was less offensive to tell the Americans no than loose to the French. The two countries went to war in 1812 to 1814. The Treaty of Ghent in Belgium was sign 12-24-1814 to end the war. It did not declare either country a winner. Both countries would get back their lands lost during the war, Americans would get back their POWs, and their slaves .
