Two trucks started toward each other at the same time from towns 500 km apart. One truck traveled at a rate of 65 km per hour wh

ile the other traveled at 60 km per hour. After how many hours did they meet? If x represents the number of hours, which of the following equations could be used to solve the problem? 65x = 60x 65x - 60x = 500 65x + 60x = 500

Answer:

65x + 60x = 500

Step-by-step explanation:

65x + 60x = 500

add 65x and 60x

this will equal 125x

divide 500 by 125

this will give you x = 4

which gives you the answer that the trucks will meet in 4 hours

please mark as brainliest

hope this helps : )

They would meet after 4 hours, as 65 x 4 = 260. And 60 x 4 = 240. If you add these, they become a value of 500. This also answers the 2nd question ; 65x + 60x = 500.

Diego is thinking of two positive numbers. He says, 'If we triple the first number and double the second number, the sum is 34.'

1st number: 0

2nd number: 17

Answer

Step-by-step explanation:

3x+2y=34 x is the first number, y is the second.

1/2x+2y=34 multiply each number by two to get rid of the integer by the variable x.

x+4y=68 solve for x.

x=68-4y add this into the first equation to solve for variable y.

3(68-4y)+2y=34 solve for y.

204-10y=34

-10y= -170

y=17

now to solve for x

x= 68-4(17)

x= 0

How to algebraically find the limit of a function as x approaches infinity?
Sauron [17]

Well... One way you can do this is by testing a set of arrays and see the trend. If I chose to find what y1 is in (100, y1) and what y2 is in (101, y2), I would find the difference between y2 and y1. If y2 - y1 is positive, this means there is a positive relationship and y is also approaching POSITIVE infinity. A negative relation means that it is approaching NEGATIVE infinity. However, it could be approaching a single number like "4" for instance, and you just need to plug in the right number of data sets to make that educated guess.

Formula Example:
5 + 1 / (x + 1) will always approach 5 because "1 / (x + 1) will approach 0".

Hope this helps.

Answer:

C. Multiply 3 by 18

Step-by-step explanation:

Susan reads:

1 page in 3 mins

So,

1 page = 3 mins

If we want the time for 18 pages, we would multiply both sides by 18

So,

18 pages = 3×18 mins

18 pages = 54 mins
