Well, that question has been the topic of many theologians for centuries. Here is my personal take. I think it was because that when Jesus was on the cross, He was paying the price for all humanities sin. That is why God left Jesus on the cross and didn't take him down from there. Sin needed to be punished, and Jesus took the place of mine, yours, and the whole world's.

The answer is that he did not turn his back on Jesus at any time during his time here. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are one being. Have you ever turned your back on yourself?
God was showing us something when he gave all in his human form for his love of us.

Concerning the life and ministry of Jesus, Peter wrote about:
Bess [88]

Correct answer: The events he witnessed.

Concerning the life and ministry of Jesus, Peter wrote about the events he witnessed.

In his 2nd Epistle to the church, the Apostle Peter wrote:

We did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain (2 Peter 1:16-18 New International Version).

Peter also added this emphasis about all the writings of the Bible:

We also have the prophetic message as something completely reliable, and you will do well to pay attention to it, as to a light shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts. Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit (2 Peter 1:19-21 NIV).
