(x,y)
to be  a function
for every x, ther must be only 1 y to corespond to it
basically, x must NEVER repeat with a different y
list them

ah, we see (1,1) an d(1,-1)
also (4,2) and (4,-2)
double offense
1 repeats with 1 and -1
4 repeats with 2 and -2

not a function

domain is all x values
range is all y values
if they repeat, don't list them

domain=(0,1,4)
range=(-2,-1,0,1,2)

The answer to your math problem is C. The reason being is 2x times x is 2x^2 and 2x times 11 is 22x. So you first part of the problem looks like 2x^2+22. Then -6 times x is -6x and -6 times 11 is -66. So now the problem is 2x^2+22x-6x-66. So your answer after solving it is 2x^2+16x-66.

I NEED HELP
BaLLatris [955]

Answer:

\dfrac{1}{6}\ \text{cups per hour}

Step-by-step explanation:

V = volume

r = rate

t = time

Use formula V=r\cdot t connecting volume, rate and time.

In your case,

V=\dfrac{1}{4} cup of water

t=1\dfrac{1}{2} hours

r is unknown.

Substitute all data into the formula:

\dfrac{1}{4}=r\cdot 1\dfrac{1}{2}\\ \\\dfrac{1}{4}=r\cdot \dfrac{3}{2}\\ \\2\cdot \dfrac{1}{4}=3r\ [\text{Multipled by 2}]\\ \\3r=\dfrac{1}{2}\\ \\r=\dfrac{\frac{1}{2}}{3}\ [\text{Divided by 3}]\\ \\r=\dfrac{1}{6}\ \text{cups per hour}

How do I find x and y using what is in the equation
juin [17]

y is part of a right angle on line AB

 a right angle = 90 degrees

 90-47 = 43 degrees

y = 43 degrees

a straight line = 180 degrees

180-47 = 133 degrees

 x = 133 degrees
