Subtract sqrt 3 to isolate 2sin x
Divide by 2 to isolate sin x
Take the arcsin of each side to isolate x
Thinking of a 30-60-90 triangle, we know that x sqrt 3 is opposite 60° and 2x acts as the hypotenuse, thus it will be some variation of 60°.
 In order to produce a negative result, x must be -60° (-π/3)
It is worth noting that this is a restricted value. Any addition/subtraction of 2π from this answer will produce the same result, thus your full answer is the above plus or minus 2kπ where k ∈ Z (k is an interger)

2\sin x+\sqrt{3}=0\\\\2\sin x=-\sqrt{3}\\\\\sin x=-\frac{\sqrt{3}}2\\\\\sin^{-1}(\frac{\sqrt{3}}2)=x\\\\\boxed{x=-\frac{\pi}3\pm2k\pi,\ k\in \mathbb{Z}}\ (-\frac{\pi}3=-60\°)

At the candy store, Sophie filled a bag with 2 2/3 kilograms of candy. 1/4 of the weight of the candy was from chocolate covered
Oksana_A [137]

Answer:

The chocolate covered pretzels in Sophie's bag weighed \frac{2}{3} = 0.6667 kilograms.

Step-by-step explanation:

Sophie filled a bag with 2 2/3 kilograms of candy.

This means that the total weight is of:

2\frac{2}{3} = 2 + \frac{2}{3} = \frac{6}{3} + \frac{2}{3} = \frac{8}{3}

The total weight is of 8/3 kilograms.

1/4 of the weight of the candy was from chocolate covered pretzels. How much did the chocolate covered pretzels in Sophie's bag weigh?

1/4 of 8/3. So

\frac{1}{4} \times \frac{8}{3} = \frac{1*8}{4*3} = \frac{2}{3} = 0.6667

The chocolate covered pretzels in Sophie's bag weighed \frac{2}{3} = 0.6667 kilograms.

Answer:

\large\boxed{-c^2(3c-2)=-3c^3+2c^2}

Step-by-step explanation:

-c^2(3c-2)\qquad\text{use the distributive property}\ a(b+c)=ab+ac\\\\=(-c^2)(3c)+(-c^2)(-2)\\\\=-3c^3+2c^2
