Answer:

276

Step-by-step explanation: In order to find the number, we will need to set it up in an equation. In total, there are 460 students while 60% of them have pets. Lets set that up.

460(60%)

In order to correctly do this, we will need to transfer 60% into a decimal, which is .6. Now we will rewrite it.

460(.6)

This now can be represented by the number 276.

Since we know that 276 is 60% of 460, The total number of students that have pets will be 276.

One could analyze sources that were created by experts. In this case, you should look for a source that shares the same main argument, which is that people should pay for things that they own. People with credentials are credible (for the most part), and can be trusted. If experts have the same ideas and opinions in their respective fields, your thesis can be verified.

Explain why the graphing calculator cannot be used to solve or approximate solutions to all polynomial equations.
Lelu [443]
Let's put it this way: If you plot a few non-x-intercept points and then draw a curvy line through them, you will not know if you got the x-intercepts even close to being correct. The only way you can be sure of your x-intercepts is to set the quadratic equal to zero and solve. So its a matter of guessing from the pictures. Basicaly said, the calculator won't give you the exact result.

It is claimed that an automobile is driven on the average more than 20,000 kilometers per year. To this claim, a random sample o
Aleonysh [2.5K]

Answer:

Kindly check explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following :

Sample mean(x) = 23500

Sample standard deviation (sd) = 3900

Sample size (n) = 20

Population mean (m) = 20,000

Null hypothesis : m = 20000

H1: m > 20000

To obtain the z-score :

(population mean - sample mean) / (sample standard deviation /√sample size)

(x - m) / (sd/√n)

(23500 - 20000) / (3900 / √20)

3500 / (3900 /4.4721359)

3500 / 872.06651

= 4.0134

Get the P value to know if to reject or accept the null:

P(z > 4.0134) = 1 - P(z < 4.0134)

P(z < 4.0134) = 1

1 - P(z < 4.0134) = 1 - 1 =0

Since P value is < alpha, we reject the null.

Hence average is > 20000
