Greetings!

Most of the Humus found in soil is in the Top Layer of the soil or Topsoil.

Here is the Formation of Soil for Reference:
From the Top Layer to Bottom.

1) Topsoil

2) Subsoil

3) Parent Material

4) Bedrock

Hope this helps.

An aqueous solution of calcium hydroxide is standardized by titration with a 0.183 M solution of hydrochloric acid. If 16.6 mL o
monitta

Answer:

0.142 M

Explanation:

Let's consider the neutralization reaction between calcium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid.

Ca(OH)₂ + 2 HCl → CaCl₂ + 2 H₂O

25.8 mL of 0.183 M HCl are used. The reacting moles are:

0.0258 L × 0.183 mol/L = 4.72 × 10⁻³ mol

The molar ratio of Ca(OH)₂ to HCl is 1:2. The reacting moles of Ca(OH)₂ are 1/2 × 4.72 × 10⁻³ mol = 2.36 × 10⁻³ mol

2.36 × 10⁻³ moles of Ca(OH)₂ are contained in 16.6 mL. The molarity of Ca(OH)₂ is:

M = 2.36 × 10⁻³ mol/0.0166 L = 0.142 M

Which of the following equilibrium expressions corresponds to a heterogeneous equilibrium?(a) Kc =[NH4+][OH−][NH3](b) Kc =[H+][C
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

c. Kc = \frac{[Ag(NH_{3})_2^{+}][Cl^-]}{[NH_3]^2}}

d. Kc = [Ba^{2+}][F^{-}]^2

Explanation:

An heterogeneous equilibrium is defined as a system whose reactants, products, or both are in more than one phase.

Also, you must know in an equilibrium constant you don't take solids or pure liquids. Thus:

a. Kc = \frac{[NH_{4}^+][OH^-]}{[NH_3]}}

The reaction must be: NH₃(aq) + H₂O(l) ⇆ NH₄⁺(aq) + OH⁻(aq)  <em>All reactants are in the same phase.</em>

b. Kc = \frac{[H^+][C_2H_3O_{2}^-]}{[HC_2H_3O_2]}}

The reaction must be: HC₂H₃O₂(aq) ⇄ H⁺(aq) + C₂H₃O₂⁻(aq)  <em>All reactants are in the same phase.</em>

c. Kc = \frac{[Ag(NH_{3})_2^{+}][Cl^-]}{[NH_3]^2}}

The reaction must be:  2NH₃(aq) + AgCl(s) ⇄ Ag(NH₃)₂⁺(aq) + Cl⁻(aq)

<em>Reactants aren´t in the same phase. Heterogeneous equilibrium</em>

d. Kc = [Ba^{2+}][F^{-}]^2

The reaction must be: BaF₂(s) ⇆ Ba²⁺(aq) + 2F⁻(aq)

<em>Reactants aren´t in the same phase. Heterogeneous equilibrium</em>

I hope it helps!
