The correct answer is option D, Carla has brown eyes

Reason -

Let the allele for blue colour of eyes be represented by b

And the allele for Brown colour of eyes be represented by B

Now when it is said that Carla receives an allele for blue eyes from her mother, and an allele for brown eyes from her father.

A mother can have blue colour eyes only when both its allele are recessive, thus the genotype of mother would be Xb Xb

Lets take fathers genotype as XB YB

A cross between the two will produce two female offspring with genotype of XB Xb

Since brown is dominant over blue existence of two allele together will result into the colour of dominant allele

Thus, Calra would have brown eyes

A recessive mutant allele of an autosome gene in a species of mouse results in a shorted tail in males when homozygous. However,
antoniya [11.8K]

Answer:

sexual chromosome linked characteristics

Explanation:

The sexual crhomosomes are XX (for females) and XY (for males).

The Y chromosome have less genes than the x, because of this, some characteristics are expressed at males and not at females.

Males has only one copy of the gen, carried by the only X chromosome (in this case, the leght of the tail). Nevertheless the females have two copies of the gen, (short and long tail).

So, the fenotype resulting is a dominant characterisitic related to x chomosome (long tail).

What is the general relationship between distance from the sun and a planets density?
Anarel [89]

Answer:

There is no connection between a planet's distance from the Sun and its rate of rotation (spin on its own axis or Planetary Rotation Period). While it is true that, generally speaking, the gas giants have higher rotation rates than the earth like planets closer to the Sun, any correlation is only coincidental.
