So for the first one, you'll need to write out all the factors of both 30 and 16.
(30--1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 10, 15, 30)
(16--1, 2, 4, 8, 16)
The biggest number that goes into both 30 and 16 is 2.

For the second kne, its the same thing.
(48--1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 12, 16, 24, 48)
(18--1, 2, 3, 6, 9, 18)
The biggest number that can go into both 48 and 18 is 6.

Hope this all helps!!

Flura [38]

Answer:

  nonlinear

Step-by-step explanation:

The degree of x in the equation is not 0 or 1, so the function is nonlinear.

_____

<em>Additional comment</em>

Your function graphs as a parabola, not a straight line. A function is only linear if its graph is a straight (non-vertical) line.

What are the coordinates of the point that is one half the distance between A(-1, -2) and B(6, 12)?
MA_775_DIABLO [31]

The coordinates of the point that is one-half the distance between A(-1,-2) and B(6,12) is (2.5,5)

What is the midpoint?

The mid-point lies midway between the two ends. Its x value lies in the middle of the other two x values. Its y value lies in the middle of the other two y values.

Given, A(6,12) = (x_{1}, y_{1} )

           B(6,12) = (x_{2}, y_{2} )

Let M is a midpoint of AB, then

M(x,y)=(\frac{x_{1}+x_{2} }{2} ,\frac{y_{1} +y_{2}}{2} )= (\frac{-1+6}{2} ,\frac{-2+12}{2} )=(2.5,5)

The midpoint of point AB is M(2.5,5)

Therefore, the coordinates of the point which is one-half the distance between A(-1,-2) and B(6,12) is M(2.5,5).
