Mr.rivas bought a can of paint.he used 3/8 of it to paint a bookshelf.he used 1/4 of it to paint a wagon.he used some of it to paint a birdhouse and has 1/8 of the paint left.how much paint did he use for the birdhouse.

because you can add the 3/8 and 1/4, which it will be 5/8.
Then add 5/8 and 1/8 then it eqaul to 6/8
then subtract 1 by 6/8
then you got 2/8 or 1/4
