The vertical numbers are the distance and the horizontal numbers are the time in seconds.

Look at where the line is located at the number 20.

It si between the 2 and the 3 on the horizontal line, but you can see it is closer to the 2 than it is the 3, so the time would be 2.2s

Answer:

2.2 seconds

Step-by-step explanation:

The attached graph shows the height of a rock after it falls from a cliff. Let after t seconds the rock is 20 meters from the ground.

If the graph is not given we can calculate the time using the second equation of motion i.e.

d=ut+\dfrac{1}{2}at^2

Where

u is the initial speed of the rock

a is the acceleration of the rock

t is the time taken

Here, distance covered is in y axis and the time taken is in x axis. Approximately, at 2.2 seconds the rock is 20 meters above the ground. Hence, this is the required solution.

ABCD is a rhombus, where m∠AED = 5x – 10. Use the properties of a rhombus to determine the value of x.
EastWind [94]

Answer:

Option b

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the property of rhombus at Centre it have 90°

So,

(5x - 10) {}^{o}  = 90 {}^{o}

5x = 90 + 10

5x = 100

x =  \frac{100}{5}

x = 20

Hope this helps u ^_^

Find the range of the following equation for the domain {-4, 0, 3} f (x) = -2x^2 -3
Tamiku [17]

The range of the function is {-34, -2, -20}

<h3>How to determine the range?</h3>

The function is given as:

f(x) = -2x^2 - 2

The domain is {-4, 0, 3}

Substitute the domain values in the function.

f(-4) = -2(-4)^2 - 2 = -34

f(0) = -2(0)^2 - 2 = -2

f(3) = -2(3)^2 - 2 = -20

This means that the range of the function is {-34, -2, -20}
