Answer:

x= 7/2        y = 7/6

Step-by-step explanation:

4x - 12y = 0

x + 3y = 7

Multiply the second by( -4) to eliminate the X variable

4x - 12y = 0

-4x -12y=  -28

ADD BOTH

-24y=-28

Divide both by  -24

y= 28/24

y=7/6

Plug y into  second equation

x + 3y = 7

x+ 3(7/6) = 7

x+21/6=7

x+7/2=7

x=7-(7/2)

x=( 14/2) - (7/2)

x= 7/2

For this case we have the following system of equations:

4x-12y = 0\\x + 3y = 7

To solve, we follow the steps below:

We multiply the second equation by -4:

-4x-12y = -28

We add the equations:

4x-4x-12y-12y = 0-28

Equal signs are added and the same sign is placed.

-24y = -28\\y = \frac {-28} {- 24}\\y = \frac {14} {12} = \frac {7} {6}

We look for the value of the variable "x":

x = 7-3y\\x = 7-3 \frac {7} {6}\\x = 7- \frac {21} {6}\\x = \frac {42-21} {6}\\x = \frac {21} {6}\\x = \frac {7} {2}

Thus, the solution of the system is:

(x, y): (\frac {7} {2}; \frac {7} {6})

Answer:

(x, y): (\frac {7} {2}; \frac {7} {6})

A line segment has the endpoints (9, -16) and L (7,12) find the coordinates of its midpoints M
Anastasy [175]

Answer:

The answer to your question is: (8, -2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Data

A (9, -16)

L (7, 12)

Formula

                Xm = \frac{x1 + x2 }{2}              Ym = \frac{y1 + y2}{2}

                Xm = Xm = \frac{9 + 7}{2}         Ym = \frac{-16 + 12}{2}

               Xm = 8                                              Ym = -2

How to find the percentage of a number
Dovator [93]

Answer:1. How to calculate percentage of a number. Use the percentage formula: P% * X = Y

Convert the problem to an equation using the percentage formula: P% * X = Y.

P is 10%, X is 150, so the equation is 10% * 150 = Y.

Convert 10% to a decimal by removing the percent sign and dividing by 100: 10/100 = 0.10.

If given <img src="https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=%5Clog_p%283%29%20%5Capprox%200.14" id="TexFormula1" title="\log_p(3) \approx 0.14" a
Mrrafil [7]

Heya!

We can use the extended version product rule to solve: log_p(abc) = log_p(a) + log_p(b) + log_p(c)

We can factor 60 using 2, 3, and 5.

60 = 2^2 * 3 * 5

Substitute these numbers into the rule.

log(2^2 * 3 * 5) = 2 log_p(2) + log_p(3) + log_p(5)

Using the values given in the question, we can substitute in the equation.

2 log_p(2) + log_p(3) + log_p(5) → 2(0.09) + 0.14 + 0.21

Simplify the equation.

2(0.09) + 0.14 + 0.21

0.18 + 0.14 + 0.21

0.53

Therefore, \text{log}_p(60) = 0.53

Best of Luck!

So if slope is 2/3 but it goes thew (4,2) then what is b (y=2/3x____) (need b please help me out)
Anna71 [15]

This is currently your equation since you do not know "b"

y = 2/3x + b

To find "b" you plug in the point (4,2) into the equation.

y = 2/3x + b

2 = 2/3(4) + b

2 = 8/3 + b (subtract 8/3 on both sides to get "b" by itself)

2 - 8/3 = b (make the denominators the same)

6/3 - 8/3 = b

-2/3 = b

So: y= 2/3x - 2/3
