I would say no because (I’m guessing this is talking about the time during WWI) the US already sided with the Allied powers, and Germany (Central Powers) shot down American ships suspected of carrying weapons and ammunition, which led to the Lusitania sinking. If the US joined the Central Powers, they would have won the war

konstantin123 [22]

Answer: Steam power, which lead to steam powered ships helped European forces colonize Africa.

Explanation:

Steam Powered ships aren't the only thing though, and I think they're kinda tied in 1st place with guns for "Scientific advancement that most helped Europeans colonize Africa". I think-- I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure-- they had machine guns at that point. Let me just double check that so I don't mess you up.

Yup! They had the maxim machine gun which "allowed Europeans to wipe out Africans in battle after battle."

Jeez. That whole time period was so messed up

Major cities in south asia tended to develop in areas that have:
SOVA2 [1]

The correct answer is - D: Fertile Farmland.

The civilizations in South Asia, as well as their major cities, were always located at places that had an abundance of fertile farmland. This usually meant that the major cities were established in close proximity to the large rivers, as their valleys had a lot of fertile farmland.

The main reason why the major cities in this part of the world were built in areas with lot of fertile farmland is because the economy was based on the agriculture. Another reason was the large populations on small areas. So basically, lot of food needed to be produced in order for this societies to be able to survive, and if possible to trade some food for other goods that they didn't had.
