Answer

TYPE 2-Diabetes is a clinical condition due to loss of sensitivity to insulin receptors by the cell. Therefore there is no effective utilization by the cells of the blood glucose. Thus the blood glucose rises, and more is excreted  in urine. Individuals with this condition therefore  lacks glucose in their body cells leading to many complications.

Exercise is one of the major recommendation for the relieve of this conditions. Intensive exercises is needed to burn the glucose with oxygen during cellular respiration to generate energy and therefore reduces the amount in the blood.

Pedometer is a device used to record the number of steps taken during exercises,With the recorded number of steps known the  distances covered by foot in a given distance can be determined.

Apathy is one of the negative effects of Type 2.thus must patients are sedentary in life style, which further increases the blood glucose concentration. However, with the use of Pedometer, the estimated  distance to be  covered can be measured, and this serves as stimulus for to propel the engagements and completion of  the exercise,The more distance covered, the more energy is expended, and therefore more glucose molecules expended, and reduction in blood glucose level.

Answer:

Diuretics will remove water from the blood and eliminate it in the urine. Consequently, water will move from the peritoneal cavity into the bloodstream reducing her ascites.

•The mechanism of action of diuretics are

o Osmotic diuretics are substances that are not reabsorbed or that exceed the ability of the tubule to reabsorb it, which increases osmolarity of the urine, and causes water to be drawn into the urine from the ISF.

o Loop diuretics (Lasix) inhibit symporters in the loop of Henle by diminishing sodium chloride uptake. They reduce the normal hyperosmolality of the medullary interstitial fluid, reducing the effects of ADH, resulting in loss of NaCl and water.

o Thiazides act on the distal convoluted tubule to inhibit water reabsorption.

•Her diet is salt-restricted because if salt content in the blood is high, it will cause her to retain water rather than allowing her to eliminate it.
