Answer:

Option C, There would be less water in the nearby oceans or bodies of water.

Explanation:

In the precipitation phase of water cycle, the water from clouds return back to earth in the form of rain, hail snow etc, so that it could reach the nearby water stream/body from where it can evaporate again and complete the water cycle. Now if the stage of precipitation is removed, the water that once evaporated from earth will never come back and hence after some time the water bodies will not enough water for evaporation, due t which the water cycle will be destroyed.

Hence, option C is correct.

dangina [55]

Answer:

d. dynamic receptor proteins

Explanation:

In the skin there are several receptor cells that can pick up various stimuli such as temperature, pressure and pain. They can be classified into mechanoreceptor, thermoreceptor and pain receptor cells.  When we are dealing with mechanical stimuli like pressure, mechanoreceptors respond to stimuli by sending the signal to the brain.

Light touches on the skin are received by nerve endings called Meissner corpuscles and Merkel discs. Already more intense pressures (such as a handshake) are received by receptors called Pacini corpuscles.
