Bryophytes

  1. Body has only two parts namely stem and leaves.

  5. Examples includes Marchantia, funaria(moss)

Pteridophytes:

  2. Have specialized system called as vascular system for water conduction
  3. They help in transportation of water from one part of the plant to other part of the plant.
  4. They have hidden reeproductive organs callled as phanerograms
  5. Examples includes marselia, ferns.

Gymnosperms:

  1. Gymno means naked, sperms means seeds
  2. Mostly perennials
  3. They are evergreen and woody
  4. Mostly grown for ornamental purpose
  5. Examples includes cycas, pines

Angiosperms:

  1. Angio means covered, germs means seeds
  2. Also called as flowering plants
  3. Have cotyledons for embryo developments
  4. Based on cotyledons divided into monocots and dicots
  5. These cotyledons are also called as seed leaves which nurtures the embryo to develop.
