Weekly salary = 40\times10.25=410

Deductions are as follows:

FICA = 7.65% , amount becomes 0.0765\times410=31.365

Federal withholding = 0.15\times410=61.5

State withholding = 0.10\times410=41

Hence, total deductions are = 31.365+61.5+41=133.865

Daily transportation and lunch costs 5.25+3.85=9.1 per day

Weekly expense for food and transportation = 9.1\times5=45.5

Cost of black slacks = $19.95

So, total expenses including deductions are = 133.865+45.50+19.95=199.315

Now, the weekly discretionary income is =410-199.315 = $210.685 ≈ $210.69

Hence, the answer is $210.69.

Find the missing variable for a parallelogram:<br> A = 28in2<br> h =<br> b = 6.3 in<br> (1in=2.54cm)
aivan3 [116]

The formula of an area of parallelogram:

A=bh

We have

b=6.3\ in and A=28\ in^2

Substitute:

6.3h=28            <em>divide both sides by 6.3</em>

h=\dfrac{28}{6.3}\\\\h=\dfrac{280}{63}\\\\h=4\dfrac{28}{63}\\\\h=4\dfrac{28:7}{63:7}\\\\h=4\dfrac{4}{9}

Answer: h=4\dfrac{4}{9}\ in

Michael washes the Gomez family’s cars once a month they pay him $25 every 3 months for his work at this rate how much will Mich
kakasveta [241]

So you need to see how many times they get paid in a year. 12 months ÷ by every 3= 4. So then you multiply the $25 by 4. Which equals $100.

irina1246 [14]
\frac{4(3x^{2}y^{4})^{3}}{(2x^{3}y^{5})^{4}} = \frac{4* ( 3^{3} x^{6}  y^{12})  }{2^4 x^{12}  y^{20}} =  \frac{108}{16x^{6} y^{8} } = \frac{27}{4 x^{6} y^{8}  }

Find an equation of the line that passes through (-5,-7) and is parallel to 5x+9y+18=0. Give answer in slope intercept form
Kipish [7]

Answer:

y = - \frac{5}{9} x - \frac{88}{9}

Step-by-step explanation:

The equation of a line in slope- intercept form is

y = mx + c ( m is the slope and c the y- intercept )

Rearrange 5x + 9y + 18 = 0 into slope- intercept form

Subtract 5x + 18 from both sides

9y = - 5x - 18 ( divide all terms by 9 )

y = - \frac{5}{9} x - 2 ← in slope- intercept form

with m = - \frac{5}{9}

Parallel lines have equal slopes, thus

y = - \frac{5}{9} x + c ← is the partial equation

To find c substitute (- 5, - 7) into the partial equation

- 7 = \frac{25}{9} + c ⇒ c = - 7 - \frac{25}{9} = - \frac{88}{9}

y = - \frac{5}{9} x - \frac{88}{9} ← equation of line
